• Account details — your email address and authentication credentials when you sign up or sign in.
• Content you create — recipes you save or import, meal plans, pantry items, shopping lists, households you create or join, and any photos you upload (for example, fridge scans).
• Messages — information you send us through contact, support, or takedown forms.
• Payment information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details; we receive limited billing information such as your subscription status.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the Service, including AI feature usage counts used to enforce plan limits.
• Device & log data — IP address, browser type, and similar technical information, along with cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To power features you request — such as importing a recipe from a link, suggesting what to cook, scanning your fridge, generating healthier variants, and translating recipes.
• To enforce plan limits and process subscriptions and payments.
• To respond to your messages and provide customer support.
• To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and to comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

Some features send the content you choose to process (for example, a recipe link, a photo of your fridge, or recipe text to translate) to third-party AI providers in order to return a result. We send only the data needed to perform the requested task. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private content to train public AI models.

How we share information

We share information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers — infrastructure, database, payment, and AI vendors who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards (for example, Supabase, Stripe, and our AI providers).
• Households — content you add to a shared household (pantry, plan, list, and shared recipes) is visible to other members of that household, according to the roles and permissions set by the household owner.
• Public sharing — recipes you explicitly choose to share or publish may be visible to others.
• Legal reasons — where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your content at any time, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
