
Instant Pot Honey Sesame Chicken

Wash and rinse the chicken thighs with cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.

Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper and set aside.

Make the sauce: in a separate bowl, combine the chicken broth, honey, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Sriracha, sesame oil, and cornstarch.

Stir the sauce until well combined, making sure the honey and cornstarch are completely dissolved, then set aside.

Turn on the Saute mode on your Instant Pot. Once fully heated (to prevent sticking), add the cooking oil.

Pan-sear the chicken thighs until they turn slightly browned.

Add the minced garlic and saute for about a minute until fragrant.

Pour in the sauce and top with the toasted white sesame seeds.

Cover the pot, select Manual, and set to High pressure for 8 minutes.

When it beeps, turn the valve to Quick Release. Once the valve drops, carefully remove the lid.

Set the Instant Pot back to Saute mode and reduce the sauce for about 2 minutes, until it slightly thickens. Add a little dark soy sauce if you want a deeper color.
